  • WHEN SHOULD I THINK ABOUT BOOKING MY COMMANDER'S MANSION WEDDING?

    Typically weddings are booked 12 to 18 months in advance. It's best to contact Commander's Mansion as soon as possible to inquire about availability. If you are planning a wedding during the off-season, you'll have more flexibility.

  • HOW MANY GUESTS CAN COMMANDER'S MANSION ACCOMODATE?

    Commander's Mansion can accommodate up to 200 guests for a seated event or up to 300 guests for a standing reception. The interior will fit 50 guests for cocktail hour with a dinner reception and dancing.

  • WHAT IS THE PRICING FOR COMMANDER'S MANSION WEDDINGS AND WHAT IS INCLUDED?

    Peak Season, May 1st through October 31st

    Fridays - $8,500, Saturdays - $10,000, Sundays - $8,500

    Sundays & Mondays of Holiday Weeends - $10,000

    Fridays - $5,500, Saturdays - $6,500, Sundays - $5,500

    For a 9 hour rental period Commander's Mansion recommends 3 hours of vendor set up, 5 hours for the wedding, and hour 1 hour for breaking down. You will have exclusive use of the mansion and property. Use of indoor tables and chairs. During peak season you will also have use of their 40' x 80' reception tent, along with a 15' x 45' catering tent.

    Weddings at Commander's Mansion often incorporate elegant and traditional decor elements. The historic mansion is of the classic colonial revival style. This includes ornate moulding, high ceilings and beautiful wood flooring.

    The mansion has a wheelchair ramp at the entrance, an elevator, and accessible restrooms. Additional accommodations are also available upon request.

  • ARE THERE ANY DECOR RESTRICTIONS?

    The wedding venue does not allow confetti or glitter inside the mansion.

    Open flames are generally not allowed inside the mansion. However they may be permitted outside with prior approval. If you're looking for battery candles, pillars and tapers rent them from Sparrow Lane.

  • does Commander's Mansion have a bridal suite for getting ready?

    When getting ready for your wedding there is a bridal suite available. There are also additional dressing rooms and preperation areas available for other members of the wedding party.

  • what alternative spaces does Commander's Mansion offer for cocktail hour or the wedding ceremony?

    The Garden Terrace - a beautiful outdoor space surrounded by natural gardens and foliage, this makes it an ideal setting for a romantic ceremony or cocktail hour.

    The Grand Ballroom - a spacious and elegant interior that can accommodate larger wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions.

    The Library - a cozy and intimate indoor space, great for smaller ceremonies or cocktail receptions.

    The Front Lawn - is the perfect outdoor space that can be used for outdoor ceremonies or cocktail receptions of any size.

    There is a parking lot at the venue with limited space. Street parking is also available on nearby roads. For an additional fee, the venue will provide valet parking for your wedding guests.

    Yes, Commander's Mansion will help you to planning, from selecting the menu that works well for your day to coordinating décor and floral arrangements.

    They can also help with coordinating vendors and managing the timeline of your wedding. They will be on-site on the day of the wedding to oversee the event and ensure that everything runs smoothly. working closely with the wedding party, vendors, and staff.

  • what is the policy on serving alcohol, are there any restrictions?

    Alcohol must be provided by a licensed caterer or bartender who is approved by Commander's Mansion.

We loved this monochromatic wedding at Commander's Mansion. The white flowers and greenery was perfect for the day where the bride used many of our gold pieces to create a timeless tablescape that was perfectly suited for this outdoor tented wedding. This included forged gold flatware, gold rimmed chargers, gold framed table numbers and hemstitch linen.

Originally constructed in 1895, Commander's Mansion sits on two acreas of beautifully landscaped grounds. With the mansion at the center of the property there is a wide driveway leading up to the grand entrance. These two decided to have their gorgeous wedding ceremony on the grounds.
