Gorgeous Charger Plate Rentals for Boston Events

A charger plate (or set plate) serves as a decorative base to anchor your tablescape. It adds texture, color, and a "layered" look that elevates a meal into a fine-dining experience. Beyond aesthetics, they protect your linens from spills and define each guest's personal space at the table.

Most of our Boston rental chargers are 12 - 13 inches in diameter. This provides a beautiful 1-2 inch visible border around a standard 10.5-inch dinner plate. If you are working with a narrower table—common in historic Boston venues—we can help you select a lower-profile rim to ensure your flatware has plenty of room.

Our charger plate rental prices range from $2.30 to $7.60 per plate. Often one of the more expensive rentals, at Sparrow Lane, our curated collection features affordable options, ensuring a fit for every wedding budget.

Our two busiest months are September and June, so we recommend booking at least 6 months in advance if your event falls in either of those months. For all other dates, booking 4 months out is typically sufficient to ensure availability.

Though we don’t have a showroom in our Boston office, we can bring the experience to you by sending over photos, videos, and linen swatches.

For one-day events, we offer a flexible window, typically delivering 1–2 days prior to your event and picking up 1–2 days after. We are happy to coordinate with your venue’s specific needs.

Yes, Sparrow Lane provides full-service delivery and pickup for all event rentals, provided your order meets our $250 rental minimum. We service all Boston neighborhoods including the Seaport, Back Bay and Beacon Hill.

We include a 6.5% Incidental Damage and Loss fee to cover typical wear and tear on our equipment. As long as damages fall within this range, you are fully covered. For excess breakage and loss we do charge additional fees, standard replacement fees are approximately five times the rental cost.
